The Manufacturing Engineer will support the machining department, provide daily operational support, and assist with the design of new processes. He or she will ensure machining capability to meet product specifications and quality standards while making recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in an Engineering related discipline; in lieu of degree, +4 years’ experience
- 4+ years’ related work experience in a production environment; experience in a precision machining environment utilizing mills, lathes and mill turns.
- Ability to create and alter CNC programs through use of M&G codes
- Proficiency in CAD software (Esprit/ProE/Creo/AutoCAD/MasterCAM)
- Knowledge and understanding of tooling and fixture design
- Ability to manage multiple priorities or projects at the same time
- Ability to effectively facilitate training of new associates through on-the-job training
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus
