Job Description
Product Engineer I position involves designing and developing new and existing products, driving development from concept to production, and working with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with domestic and international cross-functional associates
- Innovative thinker - able to envision new and better ways to do things
- Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to design/technical issues
- Excellent analytical skills, and good instincts and sound judgment for mechanical and structural design
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing and finishing processes (injection molding, machining, casting, forging, heat treatment, anodizing, powder coat, etc.), tolerances, fits & finishes, and GD&T
- Experience with CAD software – CREO, SolidWorks, NX, etc. CREO is preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience a plus
- Familiarity with PPAP, DFM/DFA, DVP&R, DFMEA and PFMEA
