Maintenance Technician II performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex mechanical production equipment and systems, following safety procedures and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Key responsibilities include operating tools and maintenance equipment, operating medium to heavy duty equipment, and mentoring maintenance technician I.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance
- 10+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably as a journeyman mechanic
- Ability to use all common types of hand and power tools
- Ability to use common fabrication equipment and method such as saws, lathes, mills, and welders
- Troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery
- Ability to coordinate resources, contractors, supplies and equipment for project execution
- Ability to train and mentor others on maintenance skills and equipment
- Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry)
