Research Scientist/Engineer (Evaluations)

We are seeking a Research Scientist/Engineer to develop and run evaluations that help assess the risks posed by scheming AIs. The ideal candidate will have software engineering skills, experience with AI models, and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• Software engineering skills: Strong experience shipping and maintaining production Python code
• Process optimisation: Ability to improve workflows and shave friction off workflows
• Data Analysis & Pattern Recognition: Ability to extract signal from large, messy datasets
• Writing and communication: Ability to succinctly convey qualitative and quantitative findings to a technical and non-technical audience
• AI power-user: Experience using different models, knowledge of when not to use AI, and willingness to experiment with new AI workflows
