Job Description
This Junior Sushi Chef position requires maintaining high standards of presentation, efficient time keeping, and work flow. Responsibilities include ensuring mise en place, maintaining food quality, cleaning, and teamwork with senior chefs. The role emphasizes understanding the prep list and operating section, as well as confident section execution.
Requirements
- Ensure mise en place is performed to the high standard.
- Maintain high presentation, plating, and cooking standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
- Run at least two sections in the kitchen.
- Understand opening and closing processes.
- Complete understanding of prep list and portion control.
- Coordinate with Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
- Full understanding of opening and closing procedures.
- Complete understanding of food portion control and specifications.
