In-Region Product Design Engineer - ( Mechanical)

As a Product Design Engineer, you will utilize your mechanical design engineering skills to bring products to market, designing next-generation input devices, portable and desktop computers, and modules for Mac and iOS product lines. Responsibilities include technology development, concept generation, detailed design, analysis, testing, and mass production ramp, encompassing product layouts, mechanisms, sensors, prototyping, FEA, data analysis, design reviews, tolerance analysis, specifications creation, and supplier collaboration.

Requirements

• BS and above in Mechanical engineering or 3+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Fundamentals of engineering: strength of materials, material science, statics, heat transfer
• Good knowledge in design skills: tolerance analysis, mechanism design
• Design validation skills: identifying critical requirements and test methods to evaluate designs against them, strong failure analysis skills
• Computer aided design (CAD) skills: 3D CAD experience required(NX preferred), 2D drafting and GD&T
• Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal communication
