Job Description
Applecart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to expand their data-mining capabilities and drive the technical evolution of their data products. The role involves working on ETL pipelines, APIs, and algorithms within a service-oriented architecture to connect with decision-makers and deliver content. This is a collaborative, hybrid-remote position contributing to the design and development of a centralized data Lakehouse.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines
- Experience with relational databases, document databases, key/value stores, etc.
- Experience with lakehouse architectures and open file formats (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, Delta)
- Experience with AWS resources and infrastructure-as-code
- SQL expertise
- Distributed computing and familiarity with frameworks like Apache Spark
