Job Description
The Youth Justice Therapist provides intensive assessment and therapeutic services for difficult incarcerated youth within the assigned Ohio Department of Youth Services (ODYS) Correctional Facility. The Youth Justice Therapist works closely with ODYS staff, jurists and other court officials to ensure client treatment needs are addressed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling required for part-time position, Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Ohio LSW, LPC or MFT required for part-time position, LISW, LPCC or IMFT preferred.
- Full-time position requires a Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a valid Ohio LISW, LPCC or IMFT.
- Strong clinical skills including expertise in crisis intervention, diagnosis/diagnostic assessment, clinical service referrals, brief mental health counseling and motivational interviewing.
- Independent License required for full-time position.
