Job Description
Applied Intuition, a vehicle intelligence company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their NextGen OS team. This role involves building a new full-stack operating system stack for future vehicles and new products. As an early hire, you'll contribute to key architectural and implementation decisions, developing core OS components like the kernel, system services, and hardware abstraction layers. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence the direction of this OS and engage with open-source projects.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience (emphasis on low-level systems or OS development)
- Deep expertise in C/C++
- Experience on Unix/Linux kernels or embedded systems
- Experience with performance optimization, memory management, threading, and concurrency
- Proven experience designing and shipping large-scale software or systems
- Demonstrated leadership in shaping technical direction and mentoring engineers
- Familiarity with open-source processes and tools, source control, and distributed code bases
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
