
Job description
As a Systems Engineer at Applied Materials, you will design and develop complex components, modules, and sub systems. You will work with project marketing and management to understand sub system requirements and lead architecture brainstorming meetings to down select to a final architecture of a subsystem. You will also conduct detailed engineering analysis of sub systems and assist in creating concepts for architectural design approaches.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building and qualifying prototypes of new designs, troubleshooting difficult engineering problems, and supporting system integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs. You will also perform and coordinate tests against internal and industry-accepted reliability specifications and make suitable design or operational changes as required.
This role is a great fit for someone with a strong background in mechanical and electrical design, with extensive hands-on experience assembling intricate systems.
