Job Description
We’re working with a client to hire an experienced ML Architect - Search to design and scale the retrieval and ranking systems that power product discovery for millions of users.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software, data, or ML engineering
- 3+ years building production-grade search systems
- Strong experience with e-commerce search patterns (faceting, merchandising rules, query understanding)
- Deep knowledge of embedding models, ANN search, and re-ranking architectures
- Hands-on experience with vector databases at scale (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, FAISS, or similar)
- Proven MLOps expertise (deployment pipelines, monitoring, versioning, retraining)
- Production experience with transformer-based models for classification and ranking
- Demonstrated ability to balance latency, cost, and relevance in real-time systems
- Experience designing controlled experiments and defining ML success metrics
