Data Engineer - Associate

AQR Capital Management is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Enterprise Engineering team, focusing on building a new data platform to manage large data volumes. The role involves designing and implementing data solutions to support quantitative research and investment processes, collaborating with researchers and portfolio managers, and leveraging big data technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• Outstanding coding, debugging, and analytical skills
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to spec out and implement solutions
• Experience working in a distributed data environment and working with large data sets
• Knowledge of big data frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop
• Interest in quantitative finance (no finance/trading experience required)
