Quantum Systems Engineer (m/w/x) - Munich, Germany

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Quantum Systems Engineer in Munich, Germany. As a key contributor and operator to the growing range of AQT quantum systems, you will be responsible for developing, setting up, and operating trapped-ion quantum computers and relevant test devices.

Requirements

• PhD in experimental physics, engineering, applied physics, physical chemistry, or related fields
• Experience in atomic, molecular, and optical physics experiments
• Knowledge and experience in areas such as linear and nonlinear optics, photonics, high-frequency electronics, cryogenics, ultra-high vacuum systems, opto-electronics, electrodynamics, and/or lasers
• Hands-on experience with trapped-ion quantum computing or other quantum computing platforms
• Independent mindset and readiness to learn and apply new software and hardware skills
• Fluent communication and writing skills in English
• Creativity and a desire to work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary team
