Environmental Permitting Technical Manager

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Permitting Technical Manager to join our Energy Transition team in the Western US. The role includes leading client development and project delivery, managing client relationships, and providing technical and financial performance of projects. The ideal candidate has significant experience with permitting of energy and power sector projects in the Western US and expertise with state and federal regulations associated with the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, geology, water resources, or similar environmental discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience in the environmental consulting industry.
• 10 years of experience managing environmental permitting projects, technical teams, schedules/budgets, and the delivery of high-quality work products.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating with Western federal, state, and local natural resource permitting agencies in the development of regulated utility and private development projects in the energy and power sectors.
• Ability to lead environmental permitting projects that may incorporate multi-disciplinary teams comprised of natural resources, engineering, cultural resources, NEPA, siting, public outreach, and other technical professionals.
• Demonstrated experience leading client development activities, including the sourcing of project opportunities, participation in industry networking events, and direct client relationship building.
