Underwriting Manager, Contract Surety

Underwriting Manager position providing underwriting and marketing duties, requiring high levels of financial analysis, risk assessment and technical underwriting expertise.

Requirements

• Gather and analyze information to make an accurate evaluation of credit quality & acceptability of risk
• Prepare and conduct marketing activities
• Manage producers within territory including premium collection
• Develop and manage a book of business
• Meet with principal owners of the account to assess their general management acumen
• Continuously monitor assigned accounts to ensure compliance with Arch standards
• Correspond with external parties to secure additional underwriting detail
• Prepare underwriting submissions and make recommendations or decisions within established authority limits
