Director of Young Adult Ministry - Old St. Patrick's - Chicago - Vic. III

The Director of Young Adult Ministry will lead the young adult ministry at Old St. Patrick's Church, recruiting and forming member-volunteers, planning programs, and building community among young adults. The position involves collaborating with staff colleagues, convening a Neighborhood Engagement committee, and building connections with college and university campus ministries and alumni networks.

Requirements

• A practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge of and appreciation for the Catholic faith and tradition
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Creativity and flexibility in ministry: a readiness to try and evaluate new approaches
• Mature knowledge of self and others manifested in the ability to develop positive relationships with diverse members while maintaining appropriate interpersonal boundaries; the ability to receive, offer, and learn from positive and critical feedback; and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff colleagues and member-volunteers
