Job Description
The School Receptionist is the gatekeeper and face of the school office, providing a warm, welcoming and inviting atmosphere for students, staff, parents and visitors. The receptionist also completes administrative tasks and supports school administration.
Requirements
- Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner
- Greet all incoming students, families, and guests respectfully and professionally
- Be knowledgeable and current on school activities, programs, and events
- Maintain the School’s lost and found box
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, records, and other office documents
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, documents, books, materials and supplies
- Assist with all safety drills including fire, severe weather, and internal security drills
- Act as the sub-coordinator, scheduling subs and maintaining teacher attendance records
