The After School Care Worker is responsible for the supervision of students in school’s extended care program, ensuring the safety of each child and adhering to the policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese of San Antonio.
Requirements
- Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service of the organization
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory
- Differentiates lessons and activities for students of various ages and abilities
- Assists and supervises children during all activities
- Ensures site appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are appropriately maintained
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and site events as requested
- Communicates appropriate information to parents
- Adheres to policies, procedures, and childcare guidelines
- Builds a positive relationship with each after-school participant and fosters positive connections between participants
- Effectively manages assigned group and maintains progressive discipline policy
- Participates in and evaluates the effectiveness of activities and events
- Completes all other relevant programmatic duties assigned by supervisor
