Preschool Assistant Teacher

The Preschool Assistant Teacher is a part-time position responsible for providing direct care, supporting structured play, and fostering early developmental milestones in a safe and nurturing environment for young children. The role requires collaboration with the Lead Teacher, colleagues, and families to create a positive and secure learning environment. The position is part of the St. Mark Catholic Preschool and requires a High school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for Child Development Associate or coursework in Early Childhood Education, and at least 2 years' experience working with children in a professional regulated setting.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: At least 2 years' experience of working with children in a professional regulated setting
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Skill in appropriate technology, attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally/written/electronically, ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion
• License, Credentials, and Screenings: Reliable transportation, valid driver license or identification, CPR and First Aid Certification (infant/child) is preferred, comprehensive federal and state background check
