Job Description
Theology/Humanities Teacher position at St. John Paul II Catholic High School. The school uses a Great Books context for curriculum design. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with experience in high school level instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Theology from a Catholic university
- Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate, or 12 credit hours in education courses
- Technology Proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, multimedia presentations, and internet use for educational purposes)
- Active Catholic with knowledge of both curriculum and instruction, and the ability to engage and instruct students in the content area
- Ability to manage a classroom and student behavior
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and co-workers
