Job Description
The Middle School Social Studies & Religion Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, standards-based instruction in social studies and faith-based instruction rooted in the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, Social Studies, History, or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification or eligibility/willingness to obtain certification
- Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine, Scripture, and moral theology, as well as social studies content
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to modeling faith in action
- Experience teaching middle school students or working with adolescents preferred
- Strong classroom management, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
