Job Description
The Health and Safety Coordinator will ensure compliance with safety regulations, develop and implement safety programs, and lead safety meetings to create a safe work environment. They will work with plant management, supervisors, and sub-contractors to train and educate employees on safety procedures and ensure a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a safety science, safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering, or other industrial discipline work experience
- 3+ years of operational / manufacturing / plant safety experience
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH); Associates Safety Professional (ASP); Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) certifications preferred
- Read, write, and speak proficiently in English
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and present technical information
