The Biology department is seeking a self-motivated, knowledgeable, and technically skilled immunologist with a deep understanding of inflammatory and autoimmune disease mechanisms. In this role, you will design, execute, and interpret experimental studies to demonstrate the mechanism of action for small-molecule and biologic therapies.
Requirements
- PhD in immunology or a related scientific discipline with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Deep understanding of inflammatory and autoimmune disease mechanisms demonstrated through scientific presentations and publications
- Strong ability to identify, design, and fully analyze critical experiments, develop experimental next steps, and integrate new information to revise previous hypotheses
- Extensive expertise in the isolation, culture, and functional evaluation of primary immune cells (mouse and human)
- Proficiency with immunoassay techniques including multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA (or equivalent method) and western blot
- Demonstrated expertise in the design and execution of murine models of inflammation including study design, tissue collection/processing, and ex vivo immunophenotyping to support the mechanism of action for drug candidates
- Strong collaboration and leadership skillsâincluding cross-functional teamwork, clear presentations, and mentoring of junior scientists
- Well-developed scientific communication skills with demonstrated experience preparing external scientific materials including conference abstracts, scientific posters, and manuscripts for peerâreviewed publication
