The Distribution Analyst has responsibilities for providing analysis and insights within warehouse operations and external warehouse relationships by developing, producing performance metrics for use in managing Ardagh Metal Packaging – North America (AMP-NA) business.
Requirements
- Provide operational and analytical support to warehouses, plants, and other departments as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the use of AMP-NA technology to manage technical support for warehouses
- Utilize dashboards, line loads and other systems and reporting to review inventory levels vs. needs for AMP's network
- Identify and solve logistical problems and assist leadership in making data-driven decisions in the areas of logistics forecasting and performance, and overarching logistics strategy
- Develop cost/benefit models to support logistics projects that track and analyze vendor cost performance to projected benefits
- Build models to identify choices, formalize trade-offs, specify constraints, and track and analyze the impact of performance expectations on budgeted expectations
- Collect appropriate data from internal and external sources for short-term, medium-term and long-term planning
- Extract large-scale data from multiple data tables and data warehouses and combine data into one format for consistent analysis across business units
- Query data from organization databases to monitor manufacturing capacity, lead time, and other operational data that could affect logistics performance, analysis, and reporting
- Use Pivot Tables, SQL, VB Macros, and any other statistical modelling functions and formulas for data cleansing, formatting, and data modelling purposes
- Assist in new provider set up including CAR preparation, internal vendor setup, training and hypercare
- Assist in the day-to-day management and execution of outsourced warehouses including continuous improvement
- Acquire, validate, store, protect, and process required data
- Develop and publish training documents and processes for various systems in use at AMP-NA and conduct training classes for peers, plant employees, and vendor employees
- Assist in overall strategy planning that includes all planning and budgeting functions
