The Senior Accessibility & QA Automation Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring enterprise-scale digital systems are functionally correct, usable, secure, performant, and fully accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience (an additional 4 years of experience may substitute)
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or SDET roles
- Active DHS Trusted Tester Certification
- Demonstrated experience performing manual and automated testing of web-based applications
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as NeoLoad or JMeter
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 concepts
- Hands-on experience using accessibility testing tools, including axe, pa11y, ANDI, Color Contrast Analyzer, JAWS, and NVDA
- Demonstrated experience performing manual accessibility testing using assistive technologies and screen readers
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum or SAFe-based delivery environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
