Job Description
The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking temporary Summer Camp Counselor I’s and II’s to support a variety of summer camp programs for youth ages 3-17. Staff must commit to our general core camp dates of June 22 - August 14. Additional weeks of camp, August 17 – August 28, may also be available (Therapeutic Recreation only).
Requirements
- Help support activities such as art, music, storytelling, outdoor games, and physical activities.
- Facilitate camp activities in active play through sports, cooperative games, and creative arts.
- Provide individualized assistance, adapting activities, encouraging positive behaviors, and collaborating with staff to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all participants.
- Plan and lead a variety of nature experiences for campers.
- Instruct campers in beginner-intermediate level gymnastics skills.
