Job Description
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for metallurgical, wet chemistry, and mechanical testing of materials to comply with company and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Preparing samples for metallurgical examinations and analysis
- Evaluating and inspecting fusion and resistance welds
- Performing destructive and mechanical testing, such as tensile, bend, and hardness tests
- Maintaining related test equipment, tools, and machinery
- Summarizing test results using basic mathematical calculations and data reductions
