Job Description
Artnet is seeking an Associate to join the Photographs department and support the success of Artnet Auctions & Private Sales through accurate lot cataloguing, thorough research, and professional handling of clients. The role is primarily remote but requires occasional in-person work in the New York City office.
Requirements
- Liaise with auction sellers to collect artwork information
- Catalog lots for auction, research artists and artworks, and write detailed lot descriptions
- Photograph artworks and edit images for publication
- Review seller histories and schedule pre-sale meetings
- Create and maintain lot runners for sales and support client outreach
- Monitor bidding activity and facilitate post-sale offers
- Work with Sale Operations and coordinate with department interns
