Job Description
Ascend is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax returns, handling client communication, and training and mentoring tax staff.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related discipline, Masters in Taxation preferred
- CPA preferred
- Knowledge of tax preparation software
- Advanced MS Office skills (particularly in using Excel)
- Comprehensive understanding of government tax laws
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
