Shop Technician

The Shop Technician provides timely completion of repairs and maintenance to various construction equipment and machinery within shop at Ascendum Branch locations, while maintaining good working relationships with customers and co-workers.

Requirements

• Technical school completion in appropriate field
• Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive and enthusiastic manner
• Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements
• Ability to repair, trouble shoot, and service equipment in changing environments
• Mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment
• Above average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, diesel engines
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to raise issues and concerns promptly
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to document work in a clear and concise manner
• Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm
• Customer orientation toward service and building relationships
• Ability to work branch hours and extended days as needed
• Possess own set of tools for repairing equipment
