Carpenter

ASRC Federal is seeking a Carpenter for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island. The selected employee will work a schedule of 3 months on the island and one month off unpaid.

Requirements

• Works both inside and outside of buildings and structures to perform all types of rough and finish carpentry.
• Maintains, repairs, and replaces doors, woodwork, paneling, drywall, floor covering, and replaces broken windows, etc.
• Examines locking mechanisms and installs new unit or disassembles unit and replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts, or repairs them by filing, drilling, chiseling, and grinding.
• Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
• Assists other trades and craft personnel in their daily operations.
