Junior Accountant

Door Systems is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their Western Canada head office team in Abbotsford, BC. The role involves month-end reporting, accounts receivable processes, and some accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in a full cycle accounting role and formal post-secondary training in accounting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years demonstrated experience in a full cycle accounting role
• 1-2 years of accounts receivable experience
• Formal post-secondary training in accounting and demonstrable knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting software, experience with Sage 300 is preferred
• General understanding of internal controls as well the use of compensating controls
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
