Requirements

• Packaging, labeling, record keeping, and other tasks associated with prescription fulfillment and dispensing
• Contacting physicians to obtain missing or necessary prescription information
• Verifying patient information to ensure accurate processing
• Maintaining procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adhering to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality
• Providing customer service and support at the pharmacy counter
• Supporting inventory management and processing
• Using pharmacy management software for accurate and efficient prescription processing
• Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
