Manager, Reliability Compliance

At Associated Electric Cooperative, we're committed to providing reliable energy to the communities we serve with passion and precision. We're seeking a Manager, Reliability Compliance to lead our enterprise-wide compliance program supporting the reliability of the bulk electric system.

Requirements

• Lead Enterprise Compliance Strategy
• Oversee and continuously improve AECI’s NERC compliance program
• Establish governance, standard processes, and accountability across business units
• Drive program maturity through metrics, assessments, and process enhancements
• Manage Regulatory Risk
• Identify and assess compliance risks using data, audits, and internal reviews
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance
• Develop controls and procedures that ensure consistent execution
• Oversee Audits & Reporting
• Lead regulatory audits, self-certifications, and audit readiness efforts
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely filings
• Manage mitigation plans and corrective actions
• Integrate Compliance Across the Business
• Partner with operations, planning, and member systems to embed compliance into workflows
• Provide training, tools, and ongoing support to ensure consistent understanding
• Represent AECI & Lead a Team
• Engage with industry and regulatory groups (e.g., NERC, SERC)
• Stay ahead of emerging requirements and industry trends
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of compliance professionals
