Job Description
Ophthalmic Scribe/Tech uses ophthalmic techniques to perform preliminary work-up of patients, scribe for Physicians, and may assist with examinations and treatment.
Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of retina-specific ophthalmology terminology
- Ability to type words accurately with speed and knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Strong attention to detail and expert keyboard skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and provide superior customer service
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) certification
