Job Description
Assured is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to help shape the future of its Messaging platform. The candidate will work on the core systems that power high-volume, high-reliability communication across the company's products, with a strong focus on backend architecture, APIs, data models, and production AI/LLM integrations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- Strong experience building backend services with TypeScript and GraphQL in production environments
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, especially Postgres, including data modeling and performance tuning
- Experience shipping and operating AI/LLM-powered features in production, with an understanding of reliability, monitoring, and iteration
- Proven success designing and scaling robust backend systems over time
- Solid engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, APIs, and data modeling
- Collaborative mindset and comfort partnering cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and data teams
