Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will deliver the mechanical work scope, including production and checking, reporting to a Principal Engineer. The role requires experience in working within a highly regulated industry, preferably in the nuclear industry, and familiarity with 'Design for Assembly' within a nuclear facility. The successful candidate will be able to manage their workload, drive the completion of the work scope, and liaise with key stakeholders and other design disciplines.

Requirements

• Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry
• Familiarity with 'Design for Assembly' within a nuclear facility
• Ability to manage own workload and drive the completion of the work scope
• Strong understanding of delivering mechanical designs in the nuclear sector
• Experience in producing technical files (UK CA and machinery directive compliance)
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication manufacturing processes
• Experience in producing and checking mechanical engineering calculations and deliverables
• Skilled in liaising with key stakeholders and other design disciplines
• Competent report writing skills for clear and concise findings
