IT Systems Administrator - Linux

Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity’s reach into the solar system. Astranis is seeking a Systems Administrator with deep Linux expertise to help maintain and evolve its infrastructure.

Requirements

• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, focusing on stability, scalability, and security
• Perform patching, upgrades, and configuration management to keep systems current and compliant
• Manage authentication, and access controls across Linux and integrated platforms
• Support and troubleshoot core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSH, NFS, etc.)
• Develop and maintain automation workflows to reduce manual work and improve consistency
• Monitor system performance, respond to incidents, and implement preventative measures
• Collaborate with different departments to understand and meet their technical requirements and support needs
• Test and evaluate new technology to determine its potential benefits for the company
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for team use
