Machinist

Atalco Gramercy Operations is seeking Machinists for our Gramercy, LA refinery. The role involves setting up and performing various types of machining on rough or finished stocks or parts, and requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of craft experience.

Requirements

• Reads and interpret blueprints, charts, and sketches.
• Know shop mathematics and can thoroughly plan own work.
• Set up and operate machines to fabricate or repair parts within close tolerances.
• Operates and directs the operation of weight-lifting devices in moving heavy material or equipment to and from the work area.
• Dismantles inspects for sources of trouble, repairs, and reassembles all types of machinery and equipment in the plant as required.
