Job Description
We're seeking a Principal AI Systems Engineer to lead the development of AI systems that automate expert-intensive technical workflows. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in building production AI automation systems from scratch and will be responsible for designing, building, and owning AI systems that automate technical workflows.
Requirements
- Proven track record of building production AI automation systems from scratch
- Hands-on expertise with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, or equivalent
- Experience designing and deploying MCP servers and custom tools
- Experience building internal CLI frameworks, agent scaffolding, and reusable libraries
- Experience creating internal tooling and automation that measurably improved engineering team efficiency
- Experience working with data scientists and domain experts to implement AI solutions that measurably improved team productivity
- Deep prompt and context engineering skills
- Proficiency with LLM orchestration frameworks
- Experience building AI evaluation frameworks
- Production Python engineering skills
- Cloud platform experience
- Experience integrating AI systems with external APIs
- Experience defining and tracking AI productivity metrics
