Data System Handling Engineer

The Data System Handling Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the Data Handling Subsystem, working with Satellite and Avionics engineering teams throughout the system development life-cycle.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electronic or Space Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Data Handling architecture
• Knowledge of Data interfaces (CAN/CANopen, SpW, SpaceFibre, HSSL, RS-422) and Data protocols (MIL1553, CCSDS packet, CCSDS/ECSS TM/TC, PUS, CFDP)
• Knowledge of ASW architecture for Multicore on-board computers
• Basic knowledge of the main design features and figures of merit of the AOCS units (Magnetometers, Magnetic Torquer, Star Trackers, Reaction Wheel, CMG, Sun Sensors)
• Knowledge of the HW and SW architecture of the on-board computer, TC decoder, TM encoder and Mass Memory, with focus on latest technology trends
• Knowledge of Space Segment DDV and AIV processes as defined by the ECSS
• Familiarity with SAVOIR is considered an asset
• A self-starter and highly motivated with strong organizational and communication skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to work in team and individuall
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
