Job Description
An Endoscopy Technician II is responsible for the infection prevention of endoscope preparation, reprocessing of endoscopes, and assisting with endoscopic procedures. They must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to preclean, leak test, decontaminate, inspect, disinfect, transport and store endoscopes. The technician will also maintain a professional working relationship with all members of the unit and promote positive public relations for the hospital.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Endoscopy technician certification (GI and/or ERCP)
- 1-2 years of experience in endoscopy or related field
