This Lead Sonography Technologist position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic imaging staff, providing ultrasound services to patients, and ensuring adequate supply levels. The role also includes coordination of work, training staff, and troubleshooting equipment. As the contact person for ultrasound technologists, the technologist will liaise with management, staff, and physicians.
Requirements
- Acts as the contact person for ultrasound technologists.
- Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique.
- Ensures ultrasound-related supply levels are always adequate.
- Reports any equipment failures to the concerned department(s).
- Prioritizes and disseminates tasks to others, trains staff in established and new procedures, ensures clinical staff competency and protocol.
- Coordinates patient flow and expedites patient care.
