Requirements

• Work independently and partner with optical engineers and physicists to iteratively design mechanics for optical subsystems
• Analyze and make recommendations to the engineering team to balance competing requirements
• Create novel designs and specifications from the component level up to the system level
• Evaluate suitability of design solutions by performing detailed stability, thermal, and tolerance analysis
• Own complex technical projects from concept to delivery
• Assist in hands-on assembly and precision alignment of finalized designs
