Augusta Health is seeking a Coder I (Medical Coding Specialist, Certified Professional Coder, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist) to provide medical coding and data entry services. The ideal candidate will have a CPC certification and excellent communication skills. The role plays a critical part in supporting Augusta Health's mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence.
Requirements
- Accurately assign proper CPT and ICD-10-CM codes for billing
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate medical coding and data entry
- Understanding and maintenance of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS guidelines
- Knowledge of hospital based HIM/EHR systems
- Knowledge of NCI systems
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical documentation
- Ability to manage deadlines and complete projects on time
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions
