Coordinate and participate in the administration of respiratory therapy modalities to adult, adolescent, pediatric, infant, and newborn patients with respiratory related difficulties in accordance with physician’s instructions.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program with a A.A.S. or B.S. degree in Respiratory Care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential granted by the NBRC is required.
- Must possess and maintain a current Virginia state license to practice Respiratory Care.
- BLS certification is required.
- ACCS and NPS certifications from the NBRC are encouraged.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP are preferred and encouraged but not required.
- A minimum of 1-year acute care experience functioning as a Respiratory Therapist is desired.
- Experience with adult, pediatric, and newborn patients is preferred.
