Registered Respiratory Therapist

Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility. Provides respiratory therapy to patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction/disability or for preventive purposes. Participates in clinical education and ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Administers and manages all ventilator care, continuous positive pressure breathing, weaning techniques, and artificial airway care.
• Performs chest physical therapy, chest percussions and vibrations, postural drainage, incentive exercises, and ambulation exercises as indicated.
• Performs clinical diagnostic and pulmonary function tests, such as bedside spirometry and other selected tests.
• Assesses patient respiratory status, observes patient adjustment/reaction to therapy, and evaluates the appropriateness of all therapy
• Maintains all necessary patient and departmental records; enters clinical data regarding therapy administered and its effect.
