Job Description
Aurora is searching for a talented Systems and Safety Engineer to make an impact on the verification of the autonomous vehicle (AV) sensing capabilities. The role will involve defining and validating the sensing capabilities of the Aurora Driver to a level of super-human performance and safety, working with world-class engineers in Aurora Driver software teams, and collaborating closely with Product, Operations, and Autonomy teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, safety engineering, or a related field
- Experience writing verifiable functional and non-functional requirements, preferably in autonomous systems
- Experience in a safety critical industry and software development standards, software safety fault/hazard analysis, and requirements-driven software verification and validation strategies
