Senior Health Information Manager

We are seeking a Senior Health Information Manager to join our Clinical Coding Service at Austin Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and training junior or entry-level Health Information Managers and will have experience in a Senior Coding or Leadership role. The role requires excellent clinical coding and auditing skills using ICD-10-AM 13th edition and knowledge of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs).

Requirements

• Successful completion of a clinical coding course approved by the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA)
• Minimum of 5 years unsupervised coding within a tertiary public health care facility
• Experience in a Senior Coding or Leadership role
• Ability to plan, implement and deliver education and training activities to clinical coders, trainees and other hospital staff
