Job Description
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated underwriting trainee to join their team, with a challenging and rewarding career that creates financial security through helping individuals and businesses make a new start when a loss occurs.
Requirements
- Learn various insurance coverages and contracts along with company philosophy and procedures
- Read, interpret, and react to documents such as policies, manuals, forms, and endorsements
- Assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgment
- Analyze loss experience, financial conditions and physical characteristics of risks
- Effectively communicate with independent agents and other associates through verbal and/or written means
- Participate in and successfully complete the Company underwriter training program
